Advanced nerve and muscle testing that pinpoints exactly what’s causing your symptoms.

You’ve been dealing with numbness, tingling, or unexplained weakness for too long. Maybe you’ve had MRIs that show nothing significant, or doctors who can’t quite put their finger on what’s happening.
Nerve and muscle testing changes that. These diagnostic tests measure how well your nerves conduct electrical signals and how your muscles respond. When something’s wrong with a nerve or muscle, these tests catch it.
You’ll walk out with objective data about your condition. No more wondering if the problem is “in your head” or if you’re overreacting. You’ll have clear evidence of what’s working, what isn’t, and most importantly, what needs to be addressed to get you feeling better.
We’ve been serving the Normandy Shores and greater Miami Beach area with specialized diagnostic services that get to the root of nerve and muscle problems. Our physicians are board-certified and focus specifically on conditions affecting the spine, nerves, and musculoskeletal system.
When you’re dealing with unexplained symptoms, you need someone who’s seen it before and knows exactly what tests will give you answers. We’ve built our practice around providing the diagnostic clarity that leads to effective treatment.
Your testing appointment typically takes 45-90 minutes, depending on which areas need evaluation. We’ll start with a brief review of your symptoms and medical history to focus the testing on the most relevant areas.
For nerve conduction studies, we place small electrodes on your skin and send mild electrical pulses to measure how fast and strong your nerve signals are. It feels like small taps or light shocks – uncomfortable for a moment, but not painful.
Electromyography (EMG) involves inserting thin needle electrodes into specific muscles to measure their electrical activity. We test muscles at rest and when you contract them. This shows us if muscle weakness comes from the muscle itself or from nerve problems affecting that muscle.
You’ll get your results immediately after testing. We’ll explain what the findings mean, how they relate to your symptoms, and what treatment options make sense based on the objective data we’ve gathered.
Ready to get started?
Your nerve and muscle testing covers all the areas related to your symptoms. We don’t just test one spot and call it done – we evaluate the entire pathway from your spine to the affected area.
Most patients in the Normandy Shores area come to us for issues like carpal tunnel syndrome, pinched nerves in the neck or back, diabetic neuropathy, or unexplained muscle weakness. Our testing protocol is designed to differentiate between these conditions and identify exactly where the problem originates.
You’ll receive a detailed report that your referring physician can use for treatment planning. If we find nerve compression, muscle disease, or other specific conditions, the objective data helps guide whether you need physical therapy, medications, injections, or other interventions. No guesswork, just clear direction based on what your nerves and muscles are actually doing.
