You’re not just another test result to us. We take the time to explain your findings, answer your questions, and help you understand exactly what your results mean for your health and treatment options.
Your nerve and muscle evaluation starts with a discussion of your symptoms, when they started, and what makes them better or worse. This helps us focus the testing on the areas most likely causing your problems.
During the nerve conduction study, we place small electrodes on your skin and send tiny electrical pulses to measure how fast and strong your nerve signals are. The EMG portion uses a thin needle electrode to measure the electrical activity in your muscles. Most patients find the testing much more comfortable than they expected.
We review your results immediately after testing. You’ll see the actual nerve and muscle responses on our monitors, and we’ll explain what each finding means. By the end of your appointment, you’ll have a clear picture of your nerve and muscle function, plus our recommendations for next steps.

Our nerve and muscle diagnostic testing includes both electromyography and nerve conduction velocity studies. This combination gives us a complete picture of how your peripheral nerves and muscles are working together.
We test for conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, radiculopathy, muscle disorders, and nerve entrapment syndromes. The testing can identify exactly where nerve damage or dysfunction is occurring, how severe it is, and whether it’s getting better or worse.
